Musical tributes, comedy and family fun come to CityStage this October. Here are the highlights of the month’s must-see shows:
Oct. 5, 7:30 p.m. at Symphony Hall – the fabulous Midtown Men. Reuniting stars from the original cast of Broadway’s “Jersey Boys,” Tony® Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony® Award nominee J. Robert Spencer bring to life their favorite 1960s hits for audiences across the globe. The New York Times said, “Sidling up to the microphone, the singers had the air of the Rat Pack, Motown and a nightclub act rolled into one,” while the New York Daily News proclaimed, “The Midtown Men sound as crisp as their Rat Pack-inspired suits. Their voices blend together so flawlessly on stage.” Note: This show is not a performance of, nor affiliated with the show, “Jersey Boys.”

Oct. 6, 7:30 p.m. at CityStage – A Musical Tribute to John Denver. Don't miss your chance to relive this iconic music live and in person when Ted Vigil returns to CityStage in this musical tribute. Steve Wiesberg, John Denver's lead guitar player, from the 70s is quoted as saying, "Apparently the audience thinks [all tribute artists] look and sound like John. I don't see it. I see it with Ted. A very strong physical resemblance... Uncanny!”

Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m. at CityStage – Comedian Bobby Collins. The Bud Light Comedy Series presents comedian Bobby Collins, whose heartfelt humor is a hilarious blend of spot-on observations to which everyone can relate. He cleverly lassos the crowd in and pulls them ever closer to himself while they cry with laughter!

Oct. 22 at 2 and 7 p.m. at CityStage – Mutts Gone Nuts. Disorderly duo, Scott and Joan Houghton and their hilarious pack of pooches have created a comedy dog thrill show like no other. Expect the unexpected in this top-notch presentation that includes: incredible high flying Frisbee dogs, tightwire dogs, dancing dogs, magic dogs and of course, the one and only… Sammie the Talking Dog! . From shelters to showbiz, these amazing mutts unleash havoc and hilarity in a breathtaking, action-packed, comedy dog spectacular that ‘s been deemed a ‘must see’ by the Washington Post.
