A RAY OF ELVIS July 15-17, various start times. This year, Jeff is teaming up with Eight to the Bar, named Hartford Magazine's Best Live Band, whose outlandish costumes and choreography only add to their special blend of 40's jazz and swing, and 50's jump blues. This will be a great night of music! Tickets are $23 and $25. THE MEMORIES. July 23 (Saturday) - 8 p.m. It's a summer tradition here at the Majestic to have Joe Canata and the Memories perform our favorite doo-wop hits from the '50s and '60s. The songs are memorable, the vocals are great, and Joe gives us the amazing history behind each of these songs. Tickets are $20 and $22. LISA LANNO: Messages from the Other Side. July 24 (Sunday) - 2 p.m. It's a "first" for the Majestic: an evening of Spirit connections with Psychic and Spirit Medium Lisa Lanno, who guides an interactive and emotionally-charged program devoted to connecting audience members with their family and friends on the Other Side. July 28 (Thursday) - 7:30 p.m. The actors from the past six years of the Majestic Children's Theater return to our stage for a benefit concert honoring the late Van Farrier, who was both teacher and mentor to all of them. A portion of the proceeds go to the Van Farrier Memorial Scholarship Fund. Tickets are $15. DONNA LEE & LANDSLIDE: A tribute to Fleetwood Mac. July 29 (Friday) - 8 p.m. Fleetwood Mac has charmed and mystified audiences for four decades. Donna Lee and Landslide pay musical homage to those icons with driving rhythms, crying guitar solos, and the out-of-this-world vocal harmonies that have characterized the music of Fleetwood Mac. Tickets are $16 and $18. TWO by TWO by Steve Henderson. "We're kicking off this Summer at the Majestic with two wonderful productions [in one]. They're a couple of one-act plays by the guy who brought you Jerry Atric and Jerry and Ed," said Danny Eaton, Producing Director. June 17-19. Tickets are $13 and $15. The first of those productions is MORSE CODE. Anyone who has a sibling will love this award-winning play about two brothers in crisis. As Nick Morse covers his room, and himself, with dots while spouting a rambling soliloquy, he is interrupted by his brother Chris, who seems to have stopped by to shoot some hoops. Teasing, challenging, fighting, and caring as only two people who have grown up together can, the Morse brothers hilariously unravel a gut-wrenching tale. The second is THE GRAVEDIGGER'S GIFT. They're the side-splitting and heartwarming gravediggers from Hamlet! These two lovable clowns, now father and son, meet late one night at the graveyard, each with a purpose known only to himself. As their tale unfolds, they keep us in stiches with stories about digging graves, hanging out with William Shakespeare, getting arrested, and in the end, taking care of family. SCARAMOUCHE JONES. By Justin Butcher. "Now, Scaramouche Jones I saw last year in Goshen at the Three Sisters Sanctuary, and it was such an absolutely extraordinary experience that I immediately arranged to bring it here to the Majestic," said Danny Eaton, Producing Director. Written by Justin Butcher and directed by Pauline Productions' Artistic Director, Jeanine Haas, Scaramouche Jones stars Rylan Morsbach in the show the Valley Advocate named one of the top ten best shows in the Pioneer Valley last summer, for its standing ovation at the Three Sisters Sanctuary Amphitheatre in Goshen. Scaramouche is a 100-year-old circus clown ("50 years to make the clown, 50 years to play the clown"). The play is told on the evening of his death, taking the audience on "an odyssey of crumbling empires and comic misadventures that span the globe and the entire 20th century." June 23-26. Various times. Tickets are $20 and $22. STUART LITTLE. Based upon the story by E.B.White. Dramatized by Joseph Robinette. Based on the classic children's book, Stuart Little is a charming play about the boy who was born a mouse. Join Stuart in his adventures involving simple household items, a toy boat race, and a trip in a tiny car to find his feathered friend. It's hard to be a mild-mannered mouse trying to survive in a "real people's world!" July 11 through Aug. 3 at various times. Tickets are $8. Peter and the Wiley Wolf - Unplugged. Inspired from the Musical Tale by Sergei Prokofiev. Adapted by playwright Anton Dudley. In a magical interpretation of Peter and the Wolf, we meet young Peter as he and his Grandmother are setting up the musical instruments for a grand concert. When Peter is left alone with the magic conductor's baton, the instruments come to life! We meet all the animals of the forest, along with the Three Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood. This reinvented telling of the classic story introduces children to Prokofiev's beautiful music and the magic of the theater. July 18 -Aug. 10 at various times. Tickets are $8. CHARLOTTE'S WEB. Based upon the story by E.B.White. Dramatized by Joseph Robinette. A children's literature classic based on E.B.White's loving story of a friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a spider named Charlotte is brought to life. Wilbur has a problem - how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, weaves a solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever. This treasured tale features madcap and endearing farm animals and explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship. July 25 - Aug. 17 at various times. Tickets are $8. OPEN MIC NIGHT. Hosted by Floyd Patterson. You can have a chance to perform on the Majestic stage and win money! Singers, musicians, bands, comedian, readings, magicians, whatever! Weekly Prizes and a Grand Finale Prize. General admission and ballot $5. Call to reserve your performance date! Acts booked by reservation only. July 12, 19, 26, Aug. 2, 9, and 16 at 7 p.m. Finale is Aug. 23. IMPROV at the MAJESTIC. We've assembled a troupe of the best improvisational actors from across the Pioneer Valley to bring forth Wednesday nights of unscripted comic mayhem. Each evening begins with improv scenes similar to those played on "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" That's followed by a storyline developed (with help from the audience) right on the spot, and that "story" then carries through and is further enhanced the following week. Improv Wednesday at the Majestic will be a unique evening of comedy you won't find anywhere else - and you help make it! Tickets $5. July 13, 20, 27, Aug. 3, 10, and 17 at 7 p.m. ALIVE SHE CRIED: The Doors Experience. July 30 (Saturday) - 8 p.m. July 31 (Sunday) - 7 p.m. Last summer this tribute show took off and sold out early, so we've added a second show. The music and poetry of Jim Morrison and The Doors is so faithfully presented you'll think you've seen a classic Doors performance! Tickets are $14 and $16. FRANK MANZI, FAMILY & FRIENDS. Aug. 4 (Thursday) - 7:30 p.m. It's another annual concert with the Frank Manzi Band. Each year, Frank returns to the Majestic with his family and special friends. This summer, it's a special show celebrating Frank's 20 years as a singer/songwriter and his experience as a solo recording artist. Tickets are $13 and $15. A LUTHER VANDROSS Tribute August 5 (Friday) - 8 p.m. Internationally-acclaimed artist Heshima brings renditions of the Soul Music Legend's top hits as performed by Luther, Stevie Wonder, and others. Heshima has toured with Patti Labelle and Mary J. Blige on stages from London's Royal Albert Hall to the Vienna Opera House and those across the United States. You won't want to miss this memorable concert! Tickets are $20 and $22. A CHER Tribute Show. August 6 (Saturday) at 8 p.m. and Aug. 7 (Sunday) at 2 p.m. She's back by popular demand! Last year, Lisa Carter's CHER EXTRAVAGANZA packed the house. Lisa's tribute show this year features new songs, along with the greatest Cher hits that fans can't get enough of. Gregorio Malonte adds his Tina Turner and Prince impersonations, and David Bovat choreographs a cast of Vegas-style dancers in flamboyant production numbers! Tickets are $21 and $23. DISTURBED THEATRE. Aug. 11 (Thursday) - 7:30 p.m. A Disturbing Life with Connie Casagrande & Rob Murphy is a brand new show created by the troupe that brings their high-octane brand of sketch comedy back to the Majestic each summer. Their zany concoctions are distilled from everyday life, but are not for the faint of heart. May contain adult themes and language. Tickets are $14 and $16. DAN DANIELS & YOUR NO-GOOD BUDDIES. GIRLS, GUNS, & GLORY. Aug. 12 (Friday) - 8 p.m. It's a night of Americana music with these two award-winning bands. Dan Daniels & Your No-Good Buddies are LiveWire Award winners, and Girls, Guns, & Glory, who have just completed a European tour, are winners of the Boston Music Awards' "Act of the Year." If you're a lover of real country music straight out of the honky-tonks, you won't want to miss this show! Tickets are $13 and $15. BENNIE AND THE JETS Aug. 13 (Saturday) - 8 p.m. Greg Ransom's tribute show to Elton John is a summer tradition here at the Majestic. Greg's piano playing, vocals, and enthusiasm for all things Elton is infectious and never fails to have his audiences on their feet applauding! Tickets are $15 and $17. UNION JACK. Aug. 14 (Sunday) - 7 p.m. This terrific tribute band gives you a musical history lesson of the British Invastion, launched when over 70 million viewers tuned into the Ed Sullivan show to watch that new group from Liverpool, the Beatles, perform. From then until the end of the decate, 38 different songs from "British Invaders" hit #1 on the Billboard charts - and Union Jack covers them all. Don't miss it! Tickets are $15 and $17. KING KOUNTRY with Ray Guillemette Jr. Aug. 18 (Thursday) - 7:30 p.m. A Stetson will be sitting high and proud over the black pompadour for this show. Ever since 1988 and his internship at the legendary Opryland Hotel in Nashville and being "tuned in" by Randy Travis, Ray has loved country music. Whether you are "new" or "old" country, Ray will make a fan of you! Tickets are $19 and $21. —Courtesy of the Majestic Theater Bookmark and Share
