We're looking for PRIME people!
Are you PRIME?
Do you feel that your lifestyle epitomizes our PRIME philosophy of living happier and healthier after 40?
If so, then we want to hear from you!
With this issue, PRIME Magazine is launching a search for local men and women who exemplify the PRIME philosophy.
We're asking you to give us a short description of what you do for a career or hobby, the sport or fitness routine that keeps you in shape, your philosophy on aging, and how you give back to your community.
Oh, and we'll need a photo, too.
The reward Our first PRIME reader will grace the cover of the April issue ... that means a photo shoot, interview and more!
Runners up may find themselves in the limelight for future issues.
For all the details on how to tell us that you are PRIME, see page 11 in this issue.
Need an example of someone who we think embodies the PRIME philosophy?
Look no further than the cover of this issue, and our PRIMESpotlight on page 23.
We knew that Amherst native Ken Bernstein, a 60-year-old Karate master and psychotherapist, fit the PRIME mold when we interviewed him for our June 2005 issue on fatherhood over 40. (He's also the dad of two children not yet in their teens).
A return interview for this issue showed just how right we were.
Bernstein is a man who is passionate about what he does both in passing on his Karate skills and wisdom to students from ages four to 70 at his school, Moving Zen Karate, and in helping the patients he sees in his psychotherapy practice.
Our visit to his school for the photo shoot demonstrated that his 25-year commitment to Karate has definitely kept him fit and looking younger than his years.
His passion for helping others to uncover a better sense of their self worth and value through the practice of Karate is, as he said one way he feels he's contributing to the world, one person at a time.
Ken Bernstein is definitley PRIME in our eyes.
But you don't have to be master of a sport, or super-fit to epitomize our philosophy.
We want to know what you feel makes you PRIME.
We're looking forward to hearing from you.
