June 12 and 13, "Fabulous" The Queen of New Musical Comedies, First public staged reading event at 7:30 p.m., Ely Studio Theater, Westfield State College. "Fabulous" is a brand new musical comedy with book and lyrics by Dan Derby and music by Michael Rheault, both local to the Western Massachusetts area. Paris, 1959. Jane Mann and Laura Lee Handle, two American female impersonators alright, drag queens are down on their luck. After a disastrous performance backing up France's worst drag diva, Sue Flay, they are jobless and homeless. Fate hands them an opportunity of a lifetime: headline on a cruise ship, The Queen Ethel May, sailing from London to New York.
