AmaWaterways – This company waives the single supplement on select departures of its river cruises.

G Adventures – Instead of charging single supplements, this tour company charges travelers on a twin share basis. For those preferring solo accommodations, the company offers "My Own Room" at an additional price.

Holland America Cruise Line – This company will help pair up solo travelers of the same sex to help guests avoid the 150-to-200 percent single supplement markup. If the cruise line cannot find a second guest, single travelers can cruise at the double occupancy rate.
